What is Rid4Good?
How many people have a ton of unwanted, unused items that have taken over rooms, attics, basements and garages? As a mother of three kids with tons of outgrown clothes, toys, furniture, etc. in my house and garage it was hard to find local would-be owners to pass these beautiful, cherished items quickly and easily. It was important to me that my carefully chosen, outgrown gear were given to families that would truly need and appreciate them for their own children. Rid4Good was born. As children grow up and out of their cribs, strollers, pack n’ plays, clothes, toys, furniture (you get the idea), why not recycle them to those that are in the market for “new” used baby goods? Do you own a cherished item in your home and want to redecorate, but just can’t bring yourself to put it to the curb? Or can’t find anyone to take those items out of your house; How about donating it to one of the charities listed on Rid4Good to those that really need it for their families?
On Rid4Good you can research where you want to donate your unwanted items locally and quickly so that you can get them into the hands of people that need them. Some of the charities listed will actually pick-up your donations right from your home at a designated time or by appointment!
I developed Rid4Good based on my experience as a mom, but also, because I saw a need and a gap that I wanted to address in the community. I earned my M.S. in Fundraising Management at Columbia University because I knew at some point in my career I wanted to make a difference. I hope you find Rid4Good useful so we can make a difference together.
Rid it for Good. Give it to Good.
